Entry Level Civil Engineer

Job Description

Ignited Professionals is excited to announce an opening for a entry-level Civil Engineer. In this role, you will work closely with licensed Civil Engineers, gaining hands-on experience in civil engineering design and project development while learning our standard practices and local agency requirements. A significant focus will be placed on mastering AutoCAD Civil3D, preparing you for the pursuit of a Professional Engineering license.

We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated, highly organized, and collaborative problem-solvers dedicated to meeting project deadlines and budgets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn civil engineering fundamentals, embrace our design standards, and work under the mentorship of experienced professionals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
– Create exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD, and Civil3D.
– Collaborate with agency staff and internal teams on designs, analyses, and resolving technical issues.
– Develop entitlement documents for projects, including Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, and other approvals.
– Perform calculations using **Microsoft Excel** and draft justification letters in **Microsoft Word**.
– Assist in preparing construction drawings, including grading plans, utility layouts, stormwater systems, signage, and striping plans.

– Proficiency in software such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
– Desire to learn AutoCAD, and Civil3D

– Detail-oriented with the flexibility to think conceptually and see the bigger picture.
– Demonstrates a positive reputation among peers, clients, and agencies.

Required Experience:
– Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification. Or willingness to obtain.
– Foundational knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.

Preferred Experience:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
– Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, and Civil3D software.
– Previous work in land development projects.
