Data Center Operations Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team and manage the 24/7 operations of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data center hardware, capacity planning, and incident resolution while maintaining contractual service levels.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide 24/7 support for overall infrastructure and data center operations, including servers, storage, networks, and racks.
– Perform 100% hands-on data center management tasks such as racking, stacking, cabling, decommissioning, and break-fix activities.
– Manage and troubleshoot data center hardware, including servers, storage systems, backup devices, routers, switches, and firewalls.
– Conduct capacity planning for rack space, power, cooling, modular containment, and necessary monitoring tools and services.
– Handle Incidents and Service Requests, ensuring adherence to contractual SLAs.
– Coordinate with various vendors for new projects and hardware break-fixes.
– Support project teams with new hardware installations and decommissioning activities.
– Oversee data center monitoring and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Required Qualifications:
– 3-7 years of experience managing data center operations for large and complex environments.
– Proficiency in data center tasks such as racking, cabling, decommissioning, and break-fix for hardware systems.
– Knowledge of capacity planning and data center infrastructure, including power and cooling management.
– Experience with tools and services for monitoring data center performance.
– Strong coordination skills to work effectively with vendors and project teams.
– Ability to adhere to and exceed contractual SLAs for incidents and service requests.
